One of the group's outstanding achievements was obtaining financial support from the Polish Consulate General in Barcelona for the organization of the Polish Consulate General in Barcelona christmas gathering. The event became a real holiday for the Poles, holding a Christmas Eve dinner at the Manekin restaurant in Torrevieja allowed them to spend time together tasting traditional Christmas Eve dishes such as red borscht, bigos, pierogi and many others. At the meeting, members of the group expressed great gratitude to the Consulate for its support. The atmosphere was extremely cordial, and the participants enjoyed not only tasting the dishes, but also singing carols together, which further enhanced the atmosphere of the Christmas meeting.
The plan for the future includes regular meetings at least once every two months, during which members will celebrate Polish holidays and traditions together. According to participants, such events are not only an opportunity to to maintain Polishness in a foreign country, but also to build strong community ties.
The Monika Wisniewska group is an inspiring example of how Poles living abroad can create a community based on common roots, traditions and a desire to maintain Polish heritage. The support of the Consulate General in Barcelona was an important step in making such meetings and initiatives possible, which will certainly further strengthen the ties between Poles on the Costa Blanca.
