Torrevieja beaches again marked with blue flags
In addition, Torrevieja's beaches have been recognized by the Jury of Special Recognition in the "Environmental Education" category.
The six blue flags that will fly on our beaches in the summer of 2024, attest to the care and maintenance of these same beaches 365 days a year and serve to recognize the hard work that the City of Torrevieja's Beaches Department is doing as part of a comprehensive management of beaches, so that it can serve as a stimulus for the continuous improvement of the same beaches and the services provided to the thousands of users who use them every day. The award is an international distinction that recognizes the high quality of the beach water, and rewards public and civic efforts to meet the required criteria of legality, accessibility, health, environmental education, cleanliness and safety of the beaches.
The councilman for beaches and the environment of the city of Torrevieja, Antonio Vidal, stressed that the priority of the government team is to continue to select and win new awards that certify the quality of Torrevieja's beaches, as a commitment to residents and thousands of tourists who visit every year.
