The contest will conclude with a ceremonial exhibition of the works, which will take place december 15, 2024 at the Museum del Mar (Castle) in Santa Pola. The winning works will be available to the public for a whole month.
According to information obtained from Agnieszka Juniewicz, president of the Hispola Association, On December 1, 2024, the 20 winners of the competition will be announced, while the winners of the first three places will be announced at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on December 15. This event will be a unique opportunity not only to interact with photography, but also to integrate the Polish and Spanish communities.
Competition rules
For whom?
The contest is aimed at Poles living on the Costa Blanca, regardless of age or level of photographic experience. Amateurs who want to show their vision of the region are welcome.
Topics
Photographs submitted to the contest should show the Costa Blanca, highlighting Polish cultural elements - these can be symbols such as the Polish flag or elements of the national costume. The idea is to show everyday life, landscapes and traditions woven into the Spanish context.
How to participate
Each participant may submit up to three photographs. Photos should be sent by November 25, 2024 to the email address: hispolaalicante@gmail.com, and the title of the message should include: POLAK NA COSTA BLANCA - contest entry.
The submission should include:
• Title of the work
• Location where the photo was taken
• Name of the author
• Contact information (address, phone, email).
Photos can be in color, black and white or sepia, and the minimum format is 15x21 cm. The works must be original and must not have won any previous awards.
Important dates:
• Deadline for submitting works: November 25, 2024
• Announcement of 20 winners: December 1, 2024
• Announcement of winners and award ceremony: december 15, 2024
• Exhibition opening: December 15, 2024
Prizes
The winners of the first three places will receive prizes in the form of vouchers worth:
• 1st place - 500 euros
• 2nd place - 300 euros
• 3rd place - 200 euros
