A magical morning in Torrevieja: The immortal sounds of "The Sound of Music" brought to life on stage
Last Sunday, the Municipal Theater in Torrevieja became a space for an extraordinary trip back in time. All thanks to the Casanovas Orquesta, which, under the baton of José Francisco Sánchez, presented a program based on the iconic soundtrack from the film "The Sound of Music" (The Sound of Music). The event was held as part of the "Family Concerts" series, which aims to bring symphonic music to the youngest listeners and their loved ones.
A musical tale for generations
The concert was not just a recreation of well-known pieces, but a carefully prepared narrative performance. The orchestra, combining live music with the story of the von Trapp family's fate, created an atmosphere full of warmth and nostalgia. Audiences of all ages had the opportunity to once again sink into the melodies that have shaped the imagination of cinemagoers around the world for decades.
The repertoire could not lack highlights:
- "The Sound of Music" - the opening track, which is an anthem in honor of the passion for music.
- "Do-Re-Mi" - a joyful singing lesson that engaged the entire audience.
- "My Favorite Things" - an upbeat composition that whole families hummed under their breath.
- "Edelweiss" - a subtle and touching ballad that provided moments of deep reflection.
The voice that stole hearts
The soloist MarÃa Sabater added exceptional brilliance to the entire event. Her interpretations were characterized not only by impeccable technique, but above all by great elegance and emotional commitment. Sabater's voice harmonized perfectly with the sound of the orchestra, which the audience rewarded with thunderous applause.
Education through play
The success of Sunday morning lay in the concert's formula. The combination of the educational layer and pure entertainment allowed to rediscover the world of the musical. For children it was a fascinating lesson in sensitivity, and for adults - a return to beautiful memories and proof that the great classics of cinema remain eternally alive.
Sunday's gathering in Torrevieja showed that music has the extraordinary power to unite generations. The Casanovas Orquesta proved that when passion meets professionalism, the concert hall fills not only with sound, but above all with pure joy and hope.
