"We didn't want to build just another ordinary apartment building." Tomasz Bojanowski on real estate developments on the Costa Blanca

Tomasz Bojanowski is developing GB INVEST, the GB EASY CAR car rental company, and a property management business on the Costa Blanca. He is now applying the experience he gained while serving clients in Spain to his first small-scale residential development in Santa Pola.

1. From car rentals and property management to your own investment—where did this idea come from?

It was a natural progression. Through running GB EASY CAR and managing real estate, we came to understand the needs of people visiting and investing on the Costa Blanca. We knew what they expected from an apartment and what challenges they faced after purchasing one. At some point, we thought: since we know what’s missing in the market, let’s create it ourselves.

2. What was the moment when you guys thought, “Let’s build this ourselves”?

Conversations with clients. Many people wanted to live near the sea, but not in a large complex with dozens of apartments and neighbors. They were looking for privacy, high quality, and a company that wouldn’t disappear after handing over the keys. Instead of saying that there aren’t many such offers, we decided to create our own.

3. The Spanish real estate market isn't exactly the easiest. What is the biggest challenge?

Carrying out an investment project in Spain requires patience, good organization, and knowledge of local procedures. Permits, licenses, administrative deadlines, and the coordination of work can prolong the entire process. You also need to be prepared for delays and respond quickly to unforeseen situations. The client sees the final result, but behind it lie months of preparation, decision-making, and monitoring every stage. That is why transparent communication and keeping the client informed about the actual progress of the project are so important to us.

4. The first project is Edificio Calma. Does the name give away its nature?

“Calma” means “calm,” and that is exactly the feeling we want to provide our residents. The building is being constructed in Santa Pola, about 280 meters from the beach. It will feature only four apartments, with prices starting at 199,000 euros.

5. Only four apartments—a bold business decision or a well-thought-out strategy?

Both. We could build more units, but the project would lose its character. We’re not interested in mass-producing apartments. We want to carry out private, well-crafted projects that we can personally stand behind.

6. What sets the apartments at Edificio Calma apart?

First and foremost, large terraces and large windows, which will allow more natural light into the interiors. The top-floor apartment will feature a private sun deck and a hot tub.

The apartments will be delivered turnkey, excluding furniture and appliances. The customer will receive a ready-to-move-in space that they can decorate according to their own style.

7. What happens to the apartment when the owner returns to Poland?

We can take over the management of your property: inspect the premises, store and hand over keys, prepare the apartment before your arrival, arrange for cleaning and repairs, and coordinate with contractors. We also provide support for rental management.

So the relationship with the client doesn't have to end on the day the keys are handed over.

8. What role does GB EASY CAR play in the entire ecosystem?

GB EASY CAR provides comprehensive service to GB INVEST clients from the moment they arrive in Alicante. They can pick up a car at any time of day or night, tour their investment, explore Santa Pola, and travel freely along the Costa Blanca.

We have a fleet of 30 cars, and more than 2,000 customers have already taken advantage of our services.
