Sette Voci with the OST String Quartet. A moving Prayer Concert at the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The ideal place to contemplate music that soothes, inspires and allows one to get away from the daily routine is a church - a place where music can fill a space with vibrant sound while taking advantage of its extraordinary atmosphere. This time we listened to the spiritual depth and beauty captured in the sounds of the Prayer Concert - a story of hope and expectation. The audience, which filled the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Torrevieja, experienced a deep dose of spiritual emotion thanks to the concert's repertoire and the professionalism of the artists: the "Sette Voci" vocal septet, accompanied by the instrumentalists of the String Quartet of the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, and the pianist. The highlight of the concert was a song by MartÃn Valverde, particularly popular in Latin America, entitled "Nadie te ama como yo" (No one loves you like I do), performed at the end of the program. It must be said that practically all the songs of the program, are well-known or very well-known compositions, and the performance of this type of repertoire in the church undoubtedly emphasizes its unique charm.
The vocal talent of the "Sette Voci" team is generally known and respected. From the first bars of the song "You Raise Me Up," and later in "Tan solo he venido" (I'm Only Coming), the vocalists immersed themselves in the story with the same naturalness with which the songs tell their lyrical and musical content, drawing the audience into the atmosphere and mood of true spirituality. "Sette Voci," an ensemble of passionate and multifaceted vocalists, delights with energetic performances that are always the antithesis of routine. Their voices exude a deep, resonant tone, beautiful musical interpretation and an authentic emotional connection to the character of the piece.
The pieces that followed, especially "Immanuel," "Ave Maria" and "O nata lux," took on a remarkable emotional depth, although "Alma de Cristo" and "Hazme un instrumento de tu paz" also resonated with a clarity that went beyond the purely musical, becoming a delight for the senses. We then admired the melodic precision, expression and beautiful sound that resulted in a colorful version in "Gabriel's Oboe," interpreted by the vocalists,OST String Quartet and pianist.
Each of the reflective pieces performed, thanks to their uniqueness, created unforgettable moments that will long remain in the memory of the audience. The exquisite rendition of "Sopla Senior," "Halleluia," "Pange lingua" and "The Prayer" further heightened the emotions. Concluding their performance, the "Sette Voci" ensemble, accompanied by the String Quartet y pianist, presented the concert's title song "Nadie te ama como yo" and "Color Esperanza," confirming the moving power of music, its depth and spirituality.
It was an encounter with music of universal contemplative and moving character, with performance of the highest level. It was a real pleasure to savor the perfect balance, precision and clarity of sound. The audience, which filled all available seats, warmly received the performances of the Sette Voci vocalists and the instrumentalists of the OST String Quartet with a well-deserved standing ovation. The performers delighted the audience with an encore of "Oh Happy Day," confirming that they are among the artists who can also handle extremely ambitious and demanding repertoire in an exquisite manner.
