Christmas decorations in markets and squares
Alicante has taken care of the unique decoration of the city's markets:
In the four main locations, a Christmas tree 3.5 meters high will stand, surrounded by charming decorations. In the Mercado Central, the main facade will be decorated with three flower sections 510 centimeters long, implemented in cooperation with the traders' association.
Schedule of events and attractions in the markets
Christmas markets (Mercadillos Navideños)
• Plaza de Benalúa: December 13, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Plaza de Argel: December 14, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Pla-Carolinas: December 19 and 26.
• Florida-Portazgo: December 20.
• Babel: Dec. 21.
• Plaza Enrique Vidal (San Gabriel): Dec. 28.
• Paseo de Campoamor: Dec. 30.
• Each of these fairs offers animations, workshops and organic products.
Meetings with Santa and elves
When: Dec. 21-24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Mercado Central, Mercado de Carolinas, Mercado de Babel, Mercado de Florida.
A visit by royal goons and pageants
When: January 4-5, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: the city's four main markets.
Traditional manger at Mercado Central
When: December 8, 2024 to January 7, 2025.
"Un Nadal més Valencià"
When: December 23, 24, 26-28, 30, 31, 2024 and January 2-4, 2025.
Purpose: Promotion of local products with designations of origin.

• Christmas carol contest (Certamen de Villancicos): December 18, Plaza Montañeta.
• Christmas caroling (Nadales al Carrer): december 14 and 21, at various points around the city.
