The annual picnic entitled \"Independence Chillout\" was held at Parque Reina Sofia in Guardamar del Segura on Sunday, November 10. \"Independence Chillout\" organized by the Polish-Spanish Hispola Association. The event this year brought together more than 300 Poles and non-Poles who crowded in to celebrate the 106th Anniversary of Poland\'s Independence.
The guests were officially welcomed by the initiator of the entire event and President of Hispola Agnieszka Juniewicz. The celebration began with the solemn singing of the \"Dabrowski Mazurka,\" which the gathered guests sang with full commitment. The joint performance of the National Anthem put the attendees in a patriotic mood, strengthening the sense of national unity. Soon after, another unique event took place - a joint singing of patriotic songs with musical support from Andrzej Wypasek and several musicians invited by him.
This year, an additional sponsor of the event was HumanDoc, which took care of the entertainment i.e. the facilities for board games and quizzes about Poland, which everyone could enjoy. They also took care of the technical facilities like seats and tables, which will serve the Association at future events. As it is at a picnic, there were also delicious traditional Polish dishes and snacks, such as pierogi, kielbasa, pickled cucumbers, salads, homemade bread and various cakes, prepared by the guests.
The event brought together families, seniors and younger generations to share the joy of being Polish together. It was a great opportunity to talk and share experiences, which fostered integration and made new friends.
The picnic was a great success. The celebration of Independence Day in Spain showed how strong are the ties that unite Poles, regardless of where they live. It was a day full of joy, patriotism and togetherness that will long remain in the memory of the participants.
