Noteworthy is the significant increase in the number of residents coming from Ukraine, who already account for 9,512 registered residents in Torrevieja, making Ukraine the country with the largest representation of foreigners in the municipal register.

Torrevieja begins 2025 with a total of 106,350 registered residents, a population increase of nearly 6,000 people in just one year. The city consolidates its position as the third most populous in the province of Alicante and fifth in the Community of Valencia, behind only the three provincial capitals (Valencia, Alicante and Castellón) and Elche.
According to population statistics and data from the population registry (Padrón Municipal) of Torrevieja City Hall, 47.91% (50,960) of those registered are Spanish, and 52.09% (55,390) are of international origin, coming from 123 countries on five continents. It is interesting to note that this year Torrevieja recorded two new residents from Dominica (an island in the Caribbean), increasing the number of countries represented in the registry from 122 to 123. In addition, the number of men registered in Torrevieja is 52,039 (48.93%), while there are 54,311 (51.07%) women.
Noteworthy is the significant increase in the number of residents coming from Ukraine, who already account for 9,512 registered in Torrevieja, making Ukraine the country with the largest representation of foreigners in the municipal register. They are followed by Russia (5,926 registered), Colombia (5,141), which for the first time overtook residents from the United Kingdom (4,708). Of the 9,512 Ukrainians registered in the city, 5,227 are women (55%) and 4,285 are men (45%).
After the two countries of the former USSR, Colombia and the UK, ranks the stable population of Moroccans in Torrevieja (2,961), followed by Swedes (1,840), Romanians (1,712), Belgians (1,574), Bulgarians (1,550), Italians (1,322), Algerians (1,254), Germans (1,237), Poles (1.141), Chinese (884), Brazilians (868), Argentinians (823), Venezuelans (783), Norwegians (708), French (685), Lithuanians (646), Finns (638), Belarusians (636), Indians (593), Dutch (575), Cubans (531), Ecuadorians (424), Latvians (414) and Irish (393). That's it until the list is filled with international residents coming from 123 countries, including citizens of countries such as Senegal, Kazakhstan, Chile, Uruguay, Portugal, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, Macedonia, Denmark, Austria, Cyprus, Malta, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Paraguay, Peru, and El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Honduras, Mexico, United States, Cape Verde, Guinea, Nigeria, Gabon, Gambia, South Africa, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Egypt, Nepal, Madagascar, Mauritius, Philippines, Israel, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Thailand, Australia, Japan, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Suriname, Dominica, etc. In addition, there are six stateless persons registered in the city (three men and three women).
Finally, with regard to the distribution of the population by age, the number of children and young people under the age of 20 at the beginning of 2025 is 19,674. The number of Torrevieja residents between the ages of 20 and 40 is 24,453; between the ages of 40 and 60 is 32,212; between the ages of 60 and 80 is 24,331; and between the ages of 80 and 100 is 5,656 registered. In contrast, Torrevieja residents with 100 or more years of age are 24, of which 7 are men and 17 are women.
