Art Exhibition "Spanish Impressions"
On November 8, 2025, a special event will take place at the Casa de la Cultura in Santa Pola — the opening of the art exhibition "Spanish Impressions," showcasing Spain through the eyes of Polish artists.
"Spanish Impressions" is an attempt to capture the sensations, emotions, and associations connected with the Iberian Peninsula and translate them into the language of art. The artists drew inspiration from both classical and contemporary culture and art, as well as from Spanish architecture, cuisine, theatre, and music. The exhibition offers a reflection on how Poles perceive and experience the culture of Spain — its energy, traditions, landscapes, and everyday life.
As Anna Grec, the exhibition curator, emphasizes:
"This is our second exhibition in Santa Pola — this place has become a natural space for dialogue and encounters with the Spanish audience. We wish to share how Spain is perceived from the outside — as an inspiration, a source of creative exchange, and a point of reference for our own artistic experiences."
The event is organized by the Hispola Association, the HumanDoc Foundation, and the Polska Costa newspaper. The exhibition is curated by Max Skorwider, with Anna Grec as custodian and Agnieszka Juniewicz, president of the Hispola Association, as the initiator of the event.
The exhibition will not only enrich the local cultural scene but also strengthen the bonds between Poles and Spaniards through art and the exchange of experiences.
The initiative is co-financed as part of the Senate of the Republic of Poland’s support for the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad in 2025
