The magic of cinema and musicals: DANIEL DIGES with the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra

Culture/Febuary 03, 2025

The Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, and guest conductor Adolfo Arroniz Ruiz, presented to a packed Auditorio Internacional auditorium an outstanding vocalist who completely captivated the Torrevieja audience with his magnificent performance. Daniel Diges presented a wonderful show, during which he interpreted famous and unforgettable musical and movie songs, interspersed with anecdotes told interestingly and with great stage freedom. A beautiful harmony of sounds was also provided by the Symphony Chorus and the wonderful pianist Cesar Belda.

The Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Adolfo Arroniz Ruiz, began this extraordinary evening with an impressive musical excerpt from the TV series “Game of Thrones,” to be followed by an accompanying vocal presentation of repertoire that has had a major impact on his artistic career. We are, of course, talking about musicals such as “Les Misérables” and “Mamma Mia,” which were also performed in several Latin American countries, bringing our artist great popularity.

And so Daniel Diges interpreted consecutively; “Never Enough,” “Memory,” “Aire” and “Va todo el Ganador,” impressing with a voice of great scale and dynamics, while showing all the dynamic nuances that result from the feelings the singer was able to effectively convey to the audience.

In subsequent appearances, Daniel Diges demonstrated excellent vocal emission, a very careful performance style and a typically musical, pleasant and natural-sounding voice. In the songs; “Cinema Paraíso”, “La Vida es Bella”, “Your Song” - featuring his extremely talented son Galileo, “Sálvalo”, “No importa la distancia”, he demonstrated undoubted professionalism and performance culture.

The song “Llorona” was performed almost a cappella, without an orchestra, but with a piano, conveying together with pianist Cesar Balda, a large package of touching emotions.

A wonderful interlude was the performance by the Orchestra under the direction of A. Arróniz and concertmaster St.Tkacz as solo violinist, of Ch.Chaplin's famous piece “Candilejas”

In the last two songs, “Desperado” and “Can't Take my Eyes off You,” Daniel Diges convinced Torrevieja's international audience of his mastery as a vocalist, combined with great charisma, elegance and stage ease.

During his premiere performance as guest conductor of our Symphony, Maestro Adolfo Arroniz Ruiz demonstrated unfailing confidence, plasticity and expressiveness of manual movements, receiving in return great cooperation from the musicians, who respectfully and respectfully executed; tempo, rhythm and articulation of each piece. Maestro Adolfo Arroniz is one of the most and multi-talented artists, known in the region as director of the Torrevieja Youth Orchestra, cellist, guitarist, arranger and even composer. Under his baton, the musicians of the OST have become well-acquainted with the singer, providing him with excellent support. With A. Arroniz Ruiz making his debut as guest conductor of the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, the performance can be considered a real success. Bravo Master!!!

The outstanding performance by Daniel Diges and the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Adolfo Arroniz Ruiz was of course received with thunderous applause, forcing the artists into encores.

CONGRATULATIONS to all participating artists.
