Family May Fest of the “Polish Chaplaincy in Torrevieja”
On May 25, the village of El Campo, on the grounds of the Auditorio de Guardamar, hosted a unique May Fest, organized for the first time by the “Polish Chaplaincy in Torrevieja.” This event attracted many Polish residents of the region and proved to be a real success - both organizationally and socially.
The weather was good, and good moods did not leave anyone. The program of the event was rich and varied - in addition to artistic performances by the youngest and dance workshops, participants could also take part in cooking and art workshops, prepared for both children and adults. One of the most touching moments was the joint creation of garlands for mothers, followed by a performance by the Kapelania schola, which received an enthusiastic reception.
There was also sports excitement - there were competitions and football training, in which the children participated with great commitment. The culmination of children's energy was a song dedicated to mothers and a family contest with prizes.
Also of great interest was the Finca Astronomica presentation, during which participants were able to observe the Sun through a specialized telescope for the first time in their lives - an unforgettable experience!
The palates were taken care of by local Polish entrepreneurs. Thanks to the cooperation with Donna bakery, participants could taste traditional doughnuts, and the Polonia store added traditional Polish sausages to the grill, all prepared with great care.
At the end of the festivities, there was a raffle with prizes and thank-yous, and the evening was made more enjoyable with live music. After 9 p.m., the participants collectively took care of the cleanup, leaving the area as clean as it was before the event began.
The whole event was organized by those involved with the Polish Chaplaincy, whose caretaker is Fr. Karol Baj SChr. A huge applause is due for all the volunteers - for creating an atmosphere of joy, integration and pride in Polish traditions.
