Ilona KaldoÅ„ska, Polish Consul in Barcelona, and Ramón Sentis, Honorary Polish Consul in Valencia, visited City Hall in Santa Pola to meet with Mayor Loreto Serrano as part of a cultural cooperation project between Poland and our city through the Maritime Museum and Cultural House The fruit of these excellent relations was yesterday's day organized by the Hispola.
Cultural Association, which brings together Polish residents in the province of Alicante and is headquartered in Santa Pola, with two events to promote Polish culture. Until noon, the events took place in the Castle Fortress.
The Baluarte del Duque hosted a talk titled "Le fantôme de la Liberté - A Courageous Look at Art in Poland" and a presentation of the exhibition "Me, Myself and AI", featuring art critic Valeriano Venneri and exhibition organizers Max Skorwider and Anna Grec, as well as the president of Hispola Agnieszka Juniewicz.
Then the mayor and other participants attended the inauguration of this exhibition on the historic steps of the Fortress, a collection created by a group of Max Skorwider's students, based on proposals made by artificial intelligence and then adapted by artists, mixing animal faces with the clothes of classical Spanish figures.
In the afternoon it was time for music. The full hall of the House of Culture hosted a concert "Alma" with works by two Polish composers, Frederic Chopin and Stanislaw Moniuszko, performed by pianist Guillermo Mondéjar and soprano Pepi Lloret, with the participation of the Consul and Honorary Consul, accompanying the mayor.
