TM Tower in Benidorm will dethrone the famous Zlota 44 and become the tallest residential building in the European Union
Spanish developer TM Grupo Inmobiliario has announced the completion of work on pouring the first floor of the TM Tower skyscraper. The ambitious project will make the Spanish resort of Benidorm home to the tallest residential building in the entire European Union, taking that honor away from Warsaw's Zlota 44 apartment building.
Reaching a height of 230 meters and counting 64 floors, the new tower will significantly surpass the current leader. The famous sail in the center of Warsaw (Zlota 44) will be 38 meters and 12 stories lower than it.
Poles buy up Spanish clouds
The project is experiencing extremely dynamic sales, confirming its strong position in Europe's premium segment. Already 50% of the 260 available apartments have found their buyers, and the average purchase price is an impressive 974,607 euros.
What is particularly interesting is that the investment is most popular among Polish residents:
- Poland: 36.5% of buyers
- Spain: 31.3% of buyers
- Ukraine: 13.9% of buyers
As the developer points out, these figures prove that the European market - and the Polish market in particular - has a huge appetite for luxury properties on the Spanish coast.
Engineering on an unprecedented scale
Completion of the first floor is a key technical milestone for the Alicante-based company. The foundation phase required a specialized approach due to the enormous loads the building will have to support. Work on this phase consumed nearly €2 million.
| Technical parameters | Values |
|---|---|
| Foundation piles | 355 pieces (reaching up to 16 m depth) |
| Drilling work | 3588 linear meters |
| Materials used (foundations) | 5319 m³ of concrete and 245 tons of steel |
| Total structural load capacity | 85,000 tons |
The structure's strength of 85,000 tons is equivalent to the weight of 8.5 Eiffel Tower or 200 wide-body passenger aircraft.
By using a vertical integration model, TM Grupo Inmobiliario was able to reduce the time to market by 10% and reduce the construction time itself by 11% compared to other skyscrapers previously developed by the company.
Luxury inspired by nature
TM Tower's architecture draws inspiration from the organic shapes of sea coral. Its silhouette will become a permanent part of the skyline of Benidorm, a city that has been famous for decades for its innovative vertical urban planning.
More than 10,000 sqm of luxurious common areas are planned for future residents. They will include, among others:
- Heated swimming pools and wellness areas
- Modern sports facilities
- Private cinema room
- Panoramic sky bar and astronomical observatory located on the 63rd floor
The Spanish tower will soon take over the baton from Warsaw's Zlota 44, one of the most important European symbols of luxury housing. This change of leadership also carries a symbolic dimension - the center of gravity of the development of Europe's most prestigious high-rise construction is clearly shifting towards the Mediterranean.
