Torrevieja invites you to International Tapas Day - a celebration of taste and encounters
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Torrevieja will become the culinary capital of the Costa Blanca for the ninth time. All thanks to International Tapas Day, an event that has been attracting locals, tourists and foodies from all over the world.
What exactly are tapas?
Tapas are small portions of food, served as snacks, but in Spanish culture they are much more than food. It's a way of spending time, meeting and chatting over good wine, beer or refreshing sangria. During International Tapas Day, bars and restaurants prepare their signature mini-dishes, and attendees wander from establishment to establishment, sampling a variety of flavors.
This year the formula is extremely affordable - each tapa including a drink costs only €3.50. This allows you to try many offerings and discover new favorites.
Flavors that surprise
More than a dozen restaurants and bars from Torrevieja and the surrounding area have signed up to participate, each with their own tapas ideas |
