The newly opened, with an area of 44,000 square meters and a total investment of almost 5 million euros, has become the most complete park in the city of Torrevieja, creating a large multisport area.
The La Siesta Park houses a large Pump Track of 4,000 m2 for skateboards and BMX bikes, with three separate areas: Advanced, Intermediate and Basic.
All facilities are surrounded by 300 trees, two plateaus with climbing plants, including bougainvillea, more than 2,000 m2 of sprinklered planting area and 2.500 m2 of green space with plantings of more than 20,000 aromatic and shrubby plants.
This city park (located between Henri Matisse, Ravel and Guridi streets) has become one of the most important and complete in the city of Torrevieja, as it has a total area of 44,000 square meters and has generated a large multisport area for the enjoyment of residents. It should be noted that this large municipal park is fenced, with opening hours in the morning and closing hours at night. For its care and maintenance, the city hall has made the park available to seven employees of the municipal green space complex and four caretakers who will be responsible for managing the park.
La Siesta Park is one of the largest green spaces in the Torrevieja urban area, second only to the area of Aromatic Park in Torreblanca, which is much more discreet in terms of facilities. It has two main entrances, from Calle Granados and Calle Henri Matisse, leading to a central path that is distinguished in its central part by the presence of a fountain, with built-in lighting.
It is a multifunctional park with several sports areas, such as 3 paddle tennis courts, 1 basketball court, 2 soccer fields, 1 field hockey field that can be used for skating lessons and a multi-sport field. Due to the high demand of petanque players, the number of these facilities has been increased to 10 courts. A complete area with bio-health and exercise elements for different age groups, such as calisthenics, an amphitheater with an electric panel for programming all kinds of recreational and cultural events.
Also has a central a plaza of more than 1,000 m2, from which you can see the entire park. More than 400 m2 of play space for children of all ages, including a small climbing wall for children and 3 picnic areas where you can spend the whole day with your family. The park features a kiosk/bar, which will soon be tendered and put into operation in the next few weeks, as well as 2 handicapped-accessible restroom stalls located near the petanque and pumptrack courts. More than 700 sqm of dog area, with numerous Agility elements for recreation, discipline and exercise, for both large and and small dogs.
And finally, the already famous Pumptrack of more than 4,000 m2, completely asphalted and with 3 levels of use, professional, intermediate and children's, being the largest asphalted Pumptrack in Spain.

To improve connectivity and traffic in the area, an extension of Ravel Street with all water, sewer and telecommunications services was provided, and the number of parking spaces was increased. In addition, an extension of the bicycle path connecting María Luisa Park on Calle Granados to the existing path on the CV-905 road has been provided, which promotes the very important use of bicycles.
Reservations for padel courts must be made through the Department of Sports app (torreviejasportcity), with payment at the La Siesta park concierge. Payment by credit card or cell phone. Maximum of 3 reservations (prices per hour: €6 without lighting and €10 with lighting).
